This is the first time I've had a proper look at the amp, I wonder if the fan has been turned through 180 degrees? Of course without documentation, I don't know for certain! Not long after the customer bought this amp, I replaced the captive mains lead, which was dangerous, with an IEC connector and gave it a general clean inside and out, taking great care to put everything back the way I found it. Under no load, the amp need only be turned on for about 15 mins or so, before the fan speeds up and pushes lukewarm air out the front of the amp. Īlthough it has proved reliable over the course of the 18 months or so years my client has owned it, I have my suspicions that this amp has at some point been tampered with by the inexperienced.

This he deciphered from the serial number. According to a friend, who is a former carlsbro employee, it was built in 1996.
So this is a plea, does anyone have any technical info/service manual/circuit diagram of this amp? It has developed a hum on one of the channels (see what I did there in the title! ). Am currently looking at above mentioned amp which belongs to a client.
